Operation policy
The School Adaptation Program (SAP) is open and available for any student who desires to participate in it.

Supporting education activities: tutor & tutee program (‘TnT’)
Supporting non-education activities: mentor & mentee program (‘MnM’)
- Mentors consist of sophomore students who desire to participate in the program.
- Mentees consist of new students who desire to participate in the program.
- Mentor and mentee applicants should submit their applications which are divided into either the educational or non-educational category.
The students will be sorted and categorized depending on the needs of the students. The mentors (tutors) and the mentees (tutees) will then be paired up in a customized fashion to best fit their needs.
On the basis of the supporting activities (SAP applications and confirmations), mentors (tutors) can be recognized for their efforts and a written notice put into their school records. Education supporting tutors can be given certifications for their program participation.

Selection: education supporting participants (TnT)
- Tutors: sophomores who got a first rank in the latest English and Mathematics tests can volunteer to be tutors.
- Tutees: freshmen who have some difficulties in English and Mathematics can apply to this program and be selected.
Selection: non- education supporting participants (MnM)
- Mentors: sophomores who are well qualified as good seniors can volunteer and be selected. Students should provide some useful information that is necessary to succeed in school.
- Mentees: new students who need help to adjust to school can submit an application and be selected.
Operation time
After receiving prior permission, students can obtain aid in learning and have consultation activity during 8th & 9th periods and the first self-directed class (16:30~20:30).
Tutor and Tutee, Mentor and Mentee are recommended to arrange the right amount of time, taking into consideration after school classes (mandatory night classes or study sessions). Also they should avoid interfering with the school calendar and events.
Volunteer time spending
Based on the applications and confirmations under students seal, Volunteer time spending is inputted in data totally.
Other essential details
Students in the SAP program, can make mixed-gender one-to-many groups, but cannot set up same gender one-to-one groups.
Before the SAP activities, students should fill out a plan and confirmation document. Also after receiving prior permission, students can receive aid in learning and have consultation activity in on-regular classes. They are not allowed in regular classes. (Students who apply for after school classes and extracurricular educational activities are not allowed to join SAP activities during those classes)
If some problems arise which are related to the violation of the school`s guidelines during SAP, the guidance teachers will keep unqualified students off the list through consultations. Also, the violation of school regulations can be referred to the disciplinary committee.
Expectations
The Education supporting program (SAP) will be an opportunity for the students to show their improvements.
New students can receive advice related to career-planning, methods of learning, in-school and extracurricular activities, create friendships and enhance senior-junior relationships.
SAP will let students adjust to the school easily and stably, furthermore it will greatly contribute to the creation of school culture at DGHS.
