A.Overview and Orientation
The DGHS curriculum is based on the manuals of the Ministry of Education, Science, And Technology and the Kyonggido Office of Education.We |
1. The DGHS curriculum follows the National Global High School Curriculum. 2. The DGHS curriculum is divided into General Subject Area and Specialized Subject Area and the total credits are 204 including Creative Discretion Activities. 3. Students in 10th Grade take subjects in the General Subject Area. During the last two years of their high school, fewer General subjects and more 4. Students complete Special Activities from 11th Grade through 12th Grade. 5. The DGHS curriculum is organized to support an early graduation. 6. More than two credits for Individual Research are included in the DGHS curriculum to develop students' global perspectives and to meet their various 7. Creative Discretion Activities are divided into Autonomous Activities, Club Activities, Volunteer Work, and Career Development Activities. 8. Development Activities related to Arts and Physical Education are included in the DGHS curriculum for well-rounded character development and emotional 9. The DGHS curriculum provides an opportunity to experience diverse cultures and environments through an overseas education and culture experience and 10. The DGHS academic calendar is flexible so that it can meet the purpose of implementing 5 Weekday Classes and the mandated annual class hours. |

1. General Subjects |

1) Students should complete the total of 82 credits including the National Basic Subject Area. 2) The required credits for optional subjects can be added or reduced according to the circumstances of the school. 3) When students take a basic subject in the Specialized Subject Area, the credits can be counted as the credits for the National Basic Subject Area. 4) General Subjects can be a subject required by the school or a subject of a student's choice. 2. Specialized Subjects |
1) Students should complete the total of 82 credits in the Specialized Subject Area. 2) The aim of Specialized Subjects is to develop basic knowledge related to the international world. 3) The required credits for optional subjects can be added or reduced according to the circumstances of the school. 4) Subject Ⅰ is prerequisite for Subject Ⅱ. However, exceptions can be made considering the circumstances of the school, the nature of the subject, 5) If necessary, subjects from other Areas can be included in Specialized Subject Area. 6) The school can appoint a subject as a Specialized subject depending on the characteristics of the school. 7) Specialized subjects can be a subject required by the school or a subject of a student's choice.
